Forehead Lifting

As a result of this stretching, the excess part in the forehead area is cut off and the skin is sutured again in a taut state. Thus, all wrinkles and lines on the forehead disappear.

Today,which is one of the most performed operations endoscopic forehead lift surgery ,, and open forehead surgery, which is the other method, do not have a lengthwise cut. In endoscopic forehead lift surgery, which is more advantageous, the operation is started by cutting one each in the left and right temples, and one each in the left and right upper parts of the forehead, in a length of 2 cm, so that the skin remains inside the hair. Then, a camera with a diameter of half a cm is placed in one of these cut areas. Other special medical instruments used in endoscopic surgeries are placed in other cuts. After that, the muscles under the skin are separated from each other, the muscles that create the wrinkles and lines that cause sagging are detected endoscopically and some of them are cut off.

Thus, the skin is stretched upwards, fixed and stitched. As a result, the forehead reaches a smooth and wrinkle-free appearance.

The recovery period after forehead lift surgery takes a maximum of 10 days, depending on the person’s constitution. During these ten days, some bruising and swelling may occur in the eyes and forehead. The sutures are removed one week after the patients exit the surgery and they can return to their normal lives approximately 10 days later. The time for the formation of new wrinkles in the forehead area after forehead lift surgery takes 10 years, depending on the body structure and lifestyle of the people.
